Stage Fright

It is impossible not to notice the increased intelligence of some of our more recent creations. Though the plan was to stifle this impulse in the creatures, it is undeniable that the Shoggoth is at least as intelligent as a dog or bird.

Due to the inexorable intellect, it was decided that we would be better to sculpt the growing mind instead. The task was to covertly show one of our more docile Shoggoths the world in the hopes that it might better be civilised. A group of young researchers were placed on the task.

It is my belief that the task was deliberately misinterpreted, as the creature spent the next 6 months, within the "Globe Theatre". Whilst the overall result was arguably a success, in that the being known as "Stage Fright" is indeed rather docile and civilised, the constant monologuing in what can generously be called a bad facsimile of English, has left us reticent to repeat the experiment.
